Due to the pandemic our children have had to wait to make their first holy communion. Over the next 3 weeks the children will at last celebrate with their family at a special Mass.

Drop off and Collection Times
Families that have more than one child in school and there is a difference in start times for the children, will drop off all the children at the earliest time and pick up at the latest time.
DfE Updated guidance for parents and carers
We have updated our guidance for parents and carers on what they need to know about early years providers, schools and colleges during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Visitors in School
No adults will be allowed in school during the Autumn Term. If you need to speak to Mrs Rooney or your child’s teacher please contact the Office on 0191 4898218 or office@stbedesjarrow.co.uk
Water Bottles
Can we please ask your child to bring their own water bottle into school every day. They will be able to refill it throughout the day and they will bring it home each night to be cleaned ready for the following day.
Illness
If your child is showing any of these symptoms it may be best at the moment to keep them at home.
Breakfast and Tea Time Club
Breakfast and Teatime Club will be available from Wednesday 9th September. Please call Mrs Taylor 07906122912 or Mrs Kelly 07981531553 to book your places.
Bagel Club will not be running this term.
PE Days
A slight change for September…
We are asking that all children come to school already dressed in their PE kit on the day/s that they have PE, because of the current changes to our school timetable (i.e. staggered start times, finish times, lunch times and break times). This will eliminate the need for time to change at school.
Children do not need to bring in a PE bag or a school uniform to change back into. They will wear their PE kit for the whole school day.
Please ensure that your child is wearing their PE kit on the day/s allocated to them. This will be shared with you in September.
The PE kit will consist of:
• a plain white t-shirt (with or without the school logo)
• a regular school jumper or cardigan (worn over the t-shirt)
• maroon shorts
• plain black jogging bottoms (worn over the shorts)
• trainers
Thank you for your continued support.
